In an initiative by HELP Foundation J&K and Mukul Madhav Foundation, two skill development centres were established in Beerwah, Budgam. They provide vocational training in cutting, tailoring, and Sozni embroidery. In just three months, nearly 90 young women and girls from local communities have gained these skills through this project. It has boosted participants’ employability; they are now equipped with potential self-employment or roles in the textile industry. The project’s success builds on the participants’ cultural heritage and supports community upliftment and economic growth. Plans include advanced training, certification, and job placement support.
