This project focused on improving employability and livelihood security for Young Urban Women (YUWs) in the urban slums of Hyderabad between June and August 2025. During the project period, 40 YUWs were enrolled in three-month skilling programmes covering basic and advanced beautician courses, fashion design, and computer training. In addition, one collective tailoring unit, Mahila Udhyami Kendra, comprising five YUWs in Rasoolpura, was supported through input assistance and entrepreneurship-related training. Financial and digital literacy programmes were delivered to 100 YUWs, and 127 women were linked to social security schemes and entitlements. The project also raised workplace safety awareness through local activities as part of the “POSH for All – Safety at Every Workplace” campaign.
