We had the privilege to host the RCPCH, UK team in India between 5th to 9th March 2018 along with other eminent doctors from the field of Neurology, Neonatology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists from Mumbai and Pune.
Events that followed there in are as follows
1. Focus Panel Discussion and Dinner on 5th March 2018 – A panel discussion was organized at Sheraton Pune on 5th March 2018 with the RCPCH team, Medical fraternity from Mumbai and Pune , friends and well-wishers of Mukul Madhav Foundation to discuss on Current environment in India for CP Prevalence, Early Screening and Diagnosis , Government / Private Healthcare policy of early screening . Primary causes of CP specific to India, what is being done to reduce CP incidence.
2. NICU visits on 6th March 2018 – Visits were organised to NICUs of various hospitals where training is being conducted currently for nurses and doctors who will be placed in the corporation hospital NICUs in Pune namely namely Sonawane, Rajiv Gandhi, Dalvi and Kamla Nehru Hospital. An MOU has been signed by FIL / MMF with PMC. The work is underway.

3. RCPCH team in Satara – 7th to 9th March 2018
An assessment camp was organsied in collaboration with Sancheti Hospital, KEM hospital, Bharti Hospital and Krishna Hospital, Karad. A total of 83 CP patients were assessed at this camp.
Simultaneously RCPCH team conducted workshops for Special Educator, Medical Officer, ASHA supervisor, RBSK Medical Team, NRHM Medical officers of Satara. The aim of this camp was to understand the work in the field of disability and services provided by our government, how to strengthen the capacity of the service provider, to understand their role and to know the challenges in this field.
