For the past 10 years, MMF has been conducting health camps bi-annually to ensure the wellbeing of school students in Ratnagiri . This year as part of the same initiative along with FIL, MMF organized 20th free medical camp between 16th and 20th July 2018 along with Mental Health awareness training to respective teachers from the various schools who participated in this camp. The purpose of organising this training sessions was to enable the teachers to identify symptoms of mental disorders among the students at an early stage.
Along with a team of doctors from Sassoon general hospital, H V Desai Eye Hospital, Pune and Parkar Hospital, Ratnagiri, MMF assessed 2516 students from Swami Swaroopananda Vidya Mandir, Pawas and various ZP schools such as Mervi, Boke, Gopal No.1, Kurtade, Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Sanstha and our very own school Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya. During this camp students were detected with issues like dental, eye sight, ENT, cardiac, thyroid. MMF will assist them in treatment to cure these ailments.
Additionally small hygiene hampers comprising of soap, toothbrush, paste, biscuits and juice were handed over to students.
MMF continues to provide healthcare and financial assistance for the underprivileged to raise good and healthy children in our society.
