A step towards Rural Exposure 26th to 28th February in Satara and 1st and 2nd March at Pune
Mukul Madhav Foundation & Finolex Industries Ltd. In collaboration with Concern for Mental Health, UK organized a 3 day workshop designed for Primary Health Care Physicians, Psychologists, Nurses, Special Teachers, Health Visitors, Primary school teachers, mobile teachers and other Mental Health Care Professionals, in association with Concern for Mental Health (UK), in Satara on 26th, 27th , 28th. They have been coming to Pune for the past 3 years.
Concern for Mental Health, a UK Registered Charity offers training in Mental Illness Treatment using the World Health Organization (WHO) Mental Health Gap protocols This is the first time they have gone rural. The team comprised of Consultant Psychiatrists.

We had amongst us dignitaries from ZP, Satara and the Divisional Commissioner of Pune at the workshop. The Divisional Commissioner, DHO, CEO of Satara are positive towards all initiatives of Mukul Madhav Foundation. An assessment was done for 28 children who have been diagnosed with issues in Mental Health.
MMF & FIL for last TWO years has been organizing training in Mental Health in collaboration with CFMH team at Pune. The training was held for 2 days i.e 1st and 2nd march 2018 at Pune. 1st day at Sassoon General Hospital. The UK team also got an opportunity to meet patients with issues in Mental Health at Sassoon General Hospital as an opportunity to experience the live patients and understand the concept. On 2nd day at Symbiosis college of distance learning attendees were explained about mental illness and its early detection, addiction and various others topics. At the end of the training the attendees were provided with Certification.
