Mahatma Gandhi once said, “India lives in its villages” – thus, development of the rural sector cannot be ignored. Finolex Industries Limited and Mukul Madhav Foundation share the same dream for rural India. Putting in efforts to develop the rural sector, Finolex Industries, as a part of their CSR activities, donated materials worth Rs. 10 lacs to the Zilla Parishad School, at Urse. This included 15 branded computers, a set of 15 tables and chairs, window air-conditioners, cupboards, plate racks and submersible pumps.
The new computer lab was inaugurated by Mr. Prakash Chhabria, Executive Chairman of Finolex Industries Limited. Shri. Balasaheb Labade, Headmaster of the school, S.S. Sonawane, Vice President of Finolex Urse Plant, former Sarpanch Ashoksheth Karke, newly elected Sarpanch Jyoti Karke, Police Inspector Ganesh Shinde, Bharatsheth Thakur, Vijay Jaysingh, R.D. Ambree and others were present for the occasion.
The enthusiasm of now being able to learn computers was evident on the faces of the children.
Earlier in the day, a guidance session on personal hygiene was organised by Mukul Madhav Foundation. Dr. (Gp Capt) Suchitra Mankar imparted basic information regarding personal hygiene and good habits. She taught the students of class 5th, 6th and 7th about the importance of daily bathing, techniques of brushing and first aid methods.
