We have long been dedicated to supporting individuals with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) throughout India. Our efforts focused on cities such as Pune, Vadodara, Jalgaon, Daund, Karad, Vellore, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Thanjavur, have provided vital assistance, including insulin supplies, blood sugar testing, and educational resources. As part of this ongoing commitment, Mukul Madhav Foundation’s representative Mr. Hemant Chaturvedi, participated in a high-level meeting on T1D care in India, held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Organised by Princess Padmaja Kumari Parmar in collaboration with Breakthrough T1D, UNICEF India, and Friends of Mewar, the event brought together key stakeholders, healthcare organisations, NGOs, and members of the T1D community. The meeting aimed to share knowledge, examine various models of T1D care and identify best practices for future implementation. It also focused on addressing misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis while strengthening networks that support children and youth living with T1D. The event helped our mission to enhance diabetes care in India, and the insights gained will drive future initiatives in T1D support and management.
