Rakshabandhan was celebrated with a lot of joy and enthusiasm. The students wore traditional dress to get into the spirit of the occasion. The students tied rakhis to each other, which helps to foster a sense of unity and togetherness. Later they all took part in a Rakhi making competition. Ex-army jawans, working as officers in the Security department at Finolex Industries were invited to the school, so that the students could tie rakhis to them. Later the students visited Ratnagiri Coast Guard Unit and tied rakhis to the Coast Guards. 250 handmade rakhis were sent to the soldiers posted at the Siachen Glacier as a mark of love, affection and trust. MMV believes that the noble act of sending rakhis is an expression of gratitude to the soldiers who guard our motherland day and night.
