Mission Cerebral Palsy: Support for Children with Special Needs

Mission Cerebral Palsy is a flagship healthcare and rehabilitation initiative by Mukul Madhav Foundation that aims to improve the quality of life of children living with Cerebral Palsy (CP). Through medical interventions, rehabilitation services, assistive devices, therapy support, and inclusive education initiatives, the programme helps children become more independent, mobile, and socially included.
The initiative works closely with healthcare institutions, rehabilitation experts, local authorities, schools, and families to address the physical, developmental, educational, and social challenges faced by children with Cerebral Palsy. Through long-term rehabilitation support and specialised care, Mission Cerebral Palsy helps improve mobility, independence, and participation in everyday life for children with Cerebral Palsy and their families.
Mission Cerebral Palsy Impact
Since its inception, Mission Cerebral Palsy has positively impacted children and families across Maharashtra and Gujarat through rehabilitation services, medical support, assistive devices, therapy interventions, and educational inclusion initiatives.
The programme has facilitated access to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, corrective surgeries, orthotic support, vision care, mobility aids, and specialised rehabilitation services through collaborations with leading hospitals and healthcare professionals.
Mission Cerebral Palsy currently supports rehabilitation centres across Maharashtra and Gujarat and works in collaboration with hospitals including Sancheti Hospital, Bharati Hospital, Sassoon General Hospital, KEM Hospital, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, HV Desai Eye Hospital, and Ruby Hall Clinic.
Rehabilitation Centres for Children with Cerebral Palsy
The rehabilitation centres established under Mission Cerebral Palsy serve as dedicated spaces where children receive ongoing therapy, medical assessments, and developmental support. Regular follow-ups and multidisciplinary care help monitor progress and address the evolving needs of each child.
These centres also support parents and caregivers by providing guidance on home-based care, therapy routines, and strategies to improve the child’s independence and quality of life.
Promoting Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities
Education plays an important role in the overall development of children with Cerebral Palsy. Mission Cerebral Palsy supports inclusive education by working with schools, education authorities, and families to help children participate in mainstream learning environments whenever possible.
By addressing mobility challenges, providing assistive devices, and facilitating access to therapy services, the programme helps create opportunities for children with disabilities to learn, grow, and interact with their peers.
Why Early Intervention Matters
Early diagnosis and timely intervention can significantly improve outcomes for children with Cerebral Palsy. Access to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mobility support, and specialised medical care can help improve movement, communication, independence, and overall well-being.
Mission Cerebral Palsy focuses on early identification and continuous rehabilitation support, helping children maximise their abilities and participate more actively in daily life.
