Yaksha, a 4-year-old with quadriplegic CP, has been a part of Mukul Madhav Foundation’s rehabilitation centre in Ratnagiri for the past year and a half. With regular physiotherapy, her mother shares how she’s making progress—whether it’s sitting up a little longer or lighting up the room with her ever-sweet smile. Stories like Yaksha’s remind us that every small step counts.

Transforming Lives Through Water: Rede Village's Journey to Prosperity
At Mukul Madhav Foundation, we believe water is key to growth and prosperity. In partnership with Finolex Industries, we have transformed Rede village, Maharashtra, by deepening canals, constructing a Cement Nala Band (CNB), and restoring a rainwater harvesting reservoir. These efforts have improved water availability across 400+ acres, providing 600 families with a reliable water source. With better irrigation, farmers can now grow sugarcane, fruit orchards, and vegetables, ensuring higher yields and stable incomes. This has also encouraged many youth who had migrated to cities for work to return, finding renewed opportunities in farming. Rede village now stands as a model of sustainable progress, with improved livelihoods and reduced migration. By ensuring access to water, we are creating not just survival, but lasting prosperity.
From scarcity to sustainability, from dry lands to thriving communities—water has changed everything. Through collaborative action, villages once plagued by drought are now flourishing with opportunity.
Mukul Madhav Foudnation celebrates the power of water in transforming lives and ensuring #WaterForAll in 9 drought-prone villages. This project, along with other initiatives, has improved access to water—bringing hope, opportunities, and better livelihoods to over 4,000 families and 24,000 individuals across Maharashtra, including the villages of Satara, Sangli, Latur, Solapur, and Pune.Together, we’re not just providing water, we’re creating a future where every drop counts.

Urvashi Bohra, Media Trainner, SIMC-UG
For a student with no prior experience and a will to learn new things, interning with Mukul Madhav Foundation turned out to be the best possible way to do that. At MMF, my weaknesses were not mocked and neither were they ignored, instead they were worked upon till they stopped becoming my weaknesses. Every day I got the opportunity to learn something new which I still make use of in my day to day activities. All this was only possible because of the great environment I worked in. Mukul Madhav Foundation is a place where people work only for one goal and that is the welfare of the one in need. All our projects and assignments were created to help bring joy and happiness in the lives of those who require it.
In all, MMF was one of the most memorable milestones of my life that helped me look at things from a different perspective. I will always have MMF for making me a better person and I thank everyone in the MMF family who were responsible for the same.
Sadik Shaikh, Trainer, Panchgani Municipal Schools
A Good Samaritan in the cause of education for the unprivileged children
Remain prepared to be taken aback next time you go to Panchgani Municipal School, where you are likely to hear vernacular children and their teachers trying to break into a conversation in English, more uncommon for children of the unprivileged strata of society that find their way to government schools in Panchgani, a town known for its elite public schools, which not all can afford.
If you hover around the school premises, there are more things waiting to surprise you. Here, the teachers are learning to teach on projector with the aid of multimedia. In the later hours of afternoon, sound of melodious tunes of ‘Harmonium’ and rhythm of ‘Tabla’ envelop the campus. Girls swirl on the rhythm of classical dances and shouts of karate performers tempt you as you stroll into the campus. In the last couple of years, the Municipal School has taken a new turn and has changed a lot from what it used to be. Thanks to Mukul Madhav Foundation for adopting the school and funding, supporting and implementing various academic projects. In years to come, Panchgani Municipal School looks forward to convert all seven grades to Semi-English medium, teaching Science and Math in English, the ‘Lingua Franca’ of the world.
As a free-lance language instructor with Panchgani Municipal School, hired by Mukul Madhav Foundation, I have observed that this non profiting organization is trying in every possible manner to support the cause of educating children of the poor. The foundation helps through stationery, uniform and sweaters and above all ‘teaching to fish’. This is done by hiring experienced faculties, training the existing staff, interacting with them and enriching the learning experiences of the pupils through music, karate, etc.
It makes me feel proud to be a part of the Mission that Mukul Madhav Foundation has taken up. I wish them all the best and pray that more hands join in empowering the Foundation.
