Just A Minute (JAM) session was organised in Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya (MMV) for the students of class X on 9th September, 2021. JAM session was initiated in Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya by Ms. Simoes, Principal, Wisdom World School and Director of schools, Vishwakarma Purple, Pune. Ms. Simoes has been mentoring teachers and training students of Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya since its inception in 2010.
JAM sessions invite the student speaker to speak on a given topic without hesitation, repetition or deviation. The event commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Kiran Joshi, English teacher at MMV, who warmly welcomed all the virtual attendees and gave the event a delightful start. The participants of all the classes displayed their oratory skills and spoke confidently on the allotted topics. The students were judged on the basis of knowledge about the topic, vocabulary, fluency, confidence and time duration (1 minute).
It was a great learning experience for the students. It tested their creativity, presence of mind and command over language all within a span of one minute.
Since last 8 years our students are being trained in Martial Arts by an expert coach. This training prepares students in self-defence techniques, inculcating discipline and focused attitude to achieve one's goals in life. Students had participated in various belt examinations and have brought laurels to the school.
Students interested in singing are extensively trained by a dedicated teacher who not only trains them in various forms of singing but also prepares them for singing competitions. Our students have won various prizes in solo as well as group singing competitions at Taluka level.
Drums and piano training is given to students having musical bent of mind fostering their love for music. These students had been given an opportunity for showcasing their talent at Marriott Hotel, Pune in front dignitaries from various fields.
Desh Apanyen is an initiative of Sahayog Foundation which conducts school programmes which are participative, proactive and help individuals understand the concept of citizenship in India and play their part in democracy better. The core idea of Desh Apnayen's initiatives is to foster love for the nation amongst the youth by reigniting a sense of pride and patriotism in them. Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya has been associated with Max Muller since 2016 and has been under their expert guidance to enable rural students learn and excel in German language. Our students have been actively participating in Chat Clubs and competitions organized by Max Muller Bhavan aimed at strengthening their conversational skills and build confidence in German language.
Khula Aasmaan" is an art and ideas platform for children, young adults and others, created by Indiaart.com. Shortlisted children and young students will get a dedicated web page of their own. MMV has been associated with Khula Asman from 2015. Khula Asman has posted the selected paintings on their website. 7 students brought laurels to the school as their drawings were displayed at the art exhibition held at Mumbai under the coveted banner of Khula Aasman for third year in a row. Two students, Miss Kinjal Pawaskar and Master Sahil Nagwekar received Honourable mention for their artistic ability.
Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya Students received an appreciation for participating in National Skimmer Competition organized by Mahindra and Mahindra and SAE India in Veltech University, Chennai.
Our students bagged the award for Best Skimmer team in Cleanliness category. We, at Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya encourage students to participate in such competition in order to develop their engineering, scientific and innovative skills.
These competitions give an opportunity to the rural youth to represent their school and showcase their talent at National Level.
Under 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan' initiated by our Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, a very first of its kind national level toy competition named 'TOYCATHON. The main objective of this competition is to encourage Indians to design toy-based games based on Indian tradition, culture, heritage, mythological stories and characters.
Four teams from Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya and Mukul Madhav Junior College participated with different themes highlighting Indian culture, history and logical thinking. We are proud to announce that 2 out of 4 teams were selected for the Grand Finale during which they got an opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
